Craving pizza and don’t have pizza dough? Have unexpected guests at home? Holidays for the kids and its movie night? Well, an easy way to tackle these situations is bread pizza. I use bread as my base and get creating with the toppings. Stovetop Bread Pizza

      Ingredients

      For the topping

      • 1 Cup Pizza/ Pasta sauce
      • 1 Cup Finely Chopped onions
      • 1 Cup Chopped Bell peppers
      • 1 Cup Shredded Cheese (Mexican or Mozzerella)

      Other ingredients

      • 4 Slices Bread
      • 4 Tablespoons Ghee/Butter

      Method

      • 1)

        Butter one side of the bread with butter/ghee and place the buttered side down on a plate

      • 2)

        On the other side, spread the pizza sauce and add the onions and bell peppers evenly

      • 3)

        Add cheese to just cover the toppings

      • 4)

        Heat a pan and lower the temperature to simmer/lowest setting

      • 5)

        Place the buttered side on the pan and cover it with a glass lid and let it cook for about 3 to 4 minutes until the bottom of the bread is browned and the cheese melts

      • 6)

        Bread pizza is ready.

      Notes

      I prefer using Ghee as it gives an awesome smell and make the bread crust crispier. Get creative and add some Indian spices to make it an Indian pizza 😉
